Game Streaming to Multiple Platforms FAQ
Broadcasting gameplay to more than one platform at a time, without running a separate stream for each. These answers cover capture, overlays, chat, performance and the platform rules worth checking first.
Can I stream a game to Twitch and YouTube at the same time?
Technically yes. You produce once and FeelThere distributes the broadcast to both from the cloud, so your machine still uploads a single stream.
Whether you are allowed to depends on the agreements you have with each platform, which is worth checking before you plan around it.
What do the platforms allow when streaming to several at once?
Each platform sets its own terms and they have changed more than once. Twitch has permitted simulcasting for Affiliates and Partners since 2023 under conditions covering stream quality and how you talk about the other platforms, and Kick and YouTube have their own rules.
Terms change, so read the current version from the platform itself rather than a summary. FeelThere cannot override what a platform decides about your account.
Can I add Kick to the same broadcast?
Yes. Kick is a supported destination and sits alongside Twitch, YouTube and the rest in the same production.
Check Kick’s own terms on streaming elsewhere at the same time, since that can affect partner arrangements.
How do I capture gameplay for a multistream?
Share the game window or the full screen as a source in FeelThere Desktop, then arrange it on the canvas with your camera and overlays.
If you already capture gameplay in OBS, send that finished output into FeelThere instead of rebuilding it.
Does multistreaming lower my game performance?
Producing and encoding a broadcast uses resources on the same machine running the game. That part is unavoidable wherever you stream.
Adding more destinations does not add to it, because the copies are made in the cloud rather than on your computer.
Do I need a capture card for console gameplay?
To bring a console into a production on your computer, yes. The capture card turns the console output into a video source the machine can read.
Once it appears as a video device, it behaves like any other camera source.
Can I stream from a console to several platforms?
Not directly from the console itself. Route the console through a capture card into a production on your computer, and FeelThere handles the distribution from there.
A console that supports a custom RTMP output can also be pointed at the FeelThere ingest.
How do I show my face and the game together?
Both are sources in the same scene. Position the camera where you want it over the gameplay and save the arrangement.
Chroma Key removes the background behind you if you want the camera to sit on the game without a box around it.
Can I add alerts and overlays to a game stream?
Yes. Web Overlay brings browser-based graphics into the production, which covers alerts, goal bars, timers, statistics and tickers.
Because the page behind the overlay stays active, anything live on it keeps updating during the broadcast.
Can I use overlays I already built for another tool?
If they are browser-based overlays with a URL, they can usually be brought in the same way.
That means an alert setup you already use does not have to be rebuilt to multistream.
How do I read chat from Twitch and YouTube at once?
Supported audience comments are brought together so you can follow the conversation without watching several windows.
Keep in mind that some platforms have their own rules about displaying merged chat on their video.
What bitrate should a game stream use?
High-motion gameplay needs more bitrate than a talking head at the same resolution, and each platform publishes its own recommended range.
Use the bandwidth calculator for your resolution and frame rate rather than copying a number from somewhere else.
What upload speed does a game multistream need?
Enough for one stream at your chosen quality, with headroom for the game itself and anything else sharing the connection.
The number does not grow with each destination you add, because only one feed leaves your machine.
Can I stream at 60 frames per second to every platform?
FeelThere supports up to Full HD 1080p, and each destination then applies its own processing and account-level limits.
Some platforms restrict higher frame rates to certain account types, so the result can differ between them.
Can I bring my existing OBS setup into FeelThere?
Yes. Point OBS at the FeelThere server URL and stream key, and the production you already built there becomes the feed FeelThere distributes.
Nothing in your scene collection has to change.
How do I switch between the game and a starting screen?
Make each one a scene, prepare the next in Preview, and take it when you want viewers to see the change.
A starting screen, a break card and an ending card are the three most reused scenes in game streaming.
Can I record the session while streaming it?
Recording runs alongside the broadcast where it is supported, so the session is ready to cut into clips afterwards.
For game streaming that is usually where the highlights come from.
How do I handle a dropped connection mid-match?
The feed to the cloud stops and the destinations stop receiving it. Reconnect and resume rather than rebuilding the production.
Stream monitoring shows the state of the output while you play, so you find out from the workspace rather than from chat.
